Why List Your Hotel Apartments for Long-Term Rental? The Benefits vs Short-Term

Long-term rental vs short-term: which wins?

Short-term stays can command higher nightly rates, but they come with high vacancy, constant turnover, cleaning costs, and heavy OTA commissions. Long-term rental of hotel apartments trades a slightly lower nightly equivalent for something far more valuable: stability.

The benefits of listing hotel apartments long-term

• Higher, more stable occupancy — one tenant fills a unit for months.
• Lower operating costs — fewer check-ins, cleanings, and turnovers.
• Predictable revenue you can forecast and plan around.
• No commission when you list on a free, direct platform.
• Better guest relationships and fewer day-to-day issues.

Hotel apartments are made for long stays

Furnished, serviced, and equipped with kitchens and housekeeping, hotel apartments give long-stay guests the comfort of home with hotel-grade service. That makes them the ideal product for monthly and yearly tenants — and a natural fit for a long-term rental strategy.

The math favours long-term

When you factor in vacancy nights, cleaning, and commissions, a fully occupied long-term unit often out-earns a partially booked short-term one — with a fraction of the workload.
