What to look for when booking a pet-friendly hotel apartment in Dubai, and the questions worth asking before you arrive.
Travelling or relocating to Dubai with a pet narrows the hotel apartment market considerably — not every listing allows animals, and policies vary a lot between the ones that do.
Confirm pet policy before anything else, including size and breed restrictions, any additional cleaning deposit, and whether the building itself has pet rules separate from the individual unit's policy.
Some buildings in Dubai restrict pets regardless of what an individual host allows — always confirm the policy applies at the building level, not just from the listing host, to avoid a problem after you've already arrived.
Ground-floor or lower-floor units make daily walks easier, and buildings with nearby green space are worth prioritising if you have a dog. Confirm whether the unit has hard flooring or carpet, since some hosts restrict pets specifically to protect carpeted units.
Message the host directly to confirm the pet policy in writing before paying a deposit — a listing's filter tag doesn't always capture every restriction that applies.
