How companies can house relocating employees in Dubai for 1, 3 or 6 months using bulk hotel units and serviced apartments.
When a company moves employees to Dubai, permanent housing may not be available immediately. Employees may need temporary accommodation while they complete relocation, search for apartments, open bank accounts, start employment, find schools, complete documentation, and settle into Dubai.
This creates demand for corporate relocation accommodation.
Hotel apartments can provide furnished accommodation without requiring employees to immediately arrange a conventional residential rental. Depending on the property, facilities may include furniture, kitchen, housekeeping, internet, utilities, laundry, maintenance, and reception.
Consider a company relocating 30 employees — it may require 30 units × 60 nights. Another company could need 100 employees × 90 nights. These are bulk accommodation requirements.
Indian businesses with Dubai operations may relocate employees from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata. The company may initially provide hotel or serviced-apartment accommodation before employees move into permanent housing.
UK companies expanding into Dubai may send directors, managers, consultants, engineers, technology specialists, and sales teams. Temporary corporate accommodation can provide a transition period.
Chinese companies establishing operations in Dubai may also require accommodation for engineers, management, project teams, sales staff, and technical teams. The ideal accommodation depends on the company's office and project location.
Common requirements can include 30 nights, 60 nights, 90 nights, and 180 nights. The correct duration depends on the relocation process.
Companies should compare the total cost of accommodation, not only the advertised nightly price. Ask about monthly rates, long-stay rates, utilities, housekeeping, taxes, deposits, parking, internet, and extension fees.
Corporate relocation requires more than a hotel room. Companies need a reliable temporary home for employees while they establish themselves in Dubai. Long-stay hotels and serviced apartments can bridge that gap.
